Municipal Policy Review of Official Plans for the Top Aggregate Producing Municipalities in Ontario

People Plan Community conducted a comprehensive review of municipal Official Plans for Ontario’s top aggregate-producing municipalities for a community organization. The project analyzed how planning frameworks address environmental management, land use, and sustainable development. Recommendations supported municipal staff in updating policies to align resource use with environmental protection and community goals for aggregates.

Focus: Aligning resource extraction policy with sustainability and local planning priorities.
